I am an award-winning freelance composer, music producer, sound designer and audio engineer. Born in Michigan, USA, I have spent most of my career working in the music and filmmaking industries in Washington, DC, and Los Angeles, CA.
I have always been addicted to three things: coffee, sushi and music. While I know I should probably join a support group for the first two, my third addiction has inspired my amazing, creative career as a freelance composer and producer of original music for TV, documentaries, commercials and visual media since the late 1990s. My success has been driven by a motivation to do my best to help clients and artists make music that goes beyond their expectations while making the process as easy as possible.
I studied music and filmmaking at Interlochen Arts Academy, the University of Southern California (USC) and Hampshire College before beginning my career in the entertainment industry. After college, I worked as an associate producer with GMMB in Washington DC overseeing post-production sessions for TV and radio. While creating music scores and songs is my true passion in life, my background in the filmmaking industry has given me a unique understanding of how to compose music for film and visual media.
